Ward 7 Christmas Fest

Our last Christmas market for the year is coming up on Saturday, December 17 at the DC Dream Center noon - 5:00 PM. The purpose of this event is to support Ward 7 small businesses.

We’ve been selling out of some of our product lines and so we have been busy replenishing our stock. As you know, our candles are often in one-of-a-kind containers and when they are gone, they are gone. So, if you see something you like, grab it now or it will be gone. All of our containers can be repurposed for a variety of things, and we are the most excited when you ask us to refill the container with another candle.

Christmas Gift Drive

This year we will be providing herbal products for 15 residents of Exodus Ministries. We are now in our 4th year of providing mental health care for the residents in Woodland Terrace and this fall they expanded into ward 8 over by the Nat’s Stadium. The gift bags cost $25 each and will be filled with a variety of herbal self-care goodness for men, women, or children. You can donate towards the cost of gift bags here.

Ebenezers Coffeehouse

We are delighted to let you know that Ebenezers Coffeehouse is now carrying our coffee scented candles! The proceeds will go toward providing Overcoming Compassion Fatigue care for the staff of the DC Dream Center. As you know, ministries such as the DC Dream Center operate on a very slim budget and there usually isn’t much left over for staff care.

Typically, the stress level among ministry leaders is high as the needs are great and resources are stretched thin. The sale of the coffee candles will help with this much needed program area. So, hop on over to 201 F Street and pick up either a Turkish Mocha or Coffee Shop 8 oz candle for $24.99 to support the DC Dream Center and Restoration 1:99.
