Lunch and Brunch

With Friday being a Poya Day, the Ramada Hotel have their full moon vegetarian lunch buffet. Thali's Vegetarian Restaurant also have a lunch buffet where children below 8 years old eat for free.

Children are also treated at Sugar Beach's Family Sunday Brunch, where there is a kids' club to entertain the little ones.

If you like your brunches to last all day, then Le Papillon hold an all-day event on Saturdays, from 11am to 10pm, with brunch, sundowners, live music and DJs. This Saturday's entertainment comes from Magic Box Mixup, Romaine Willis, Roshane and DJs Dirty Dzn and Timtim. 

High Tea and Dinner:

This Sunday is the last Sunday of the month (yes, February is almost over), so  it's time for Kobe Japanese Restaurant's monthly Japanese High Tea. For lovers of Japanese food, on Flow at Hilton Colombo Residences has Oishii on Wednesdays, all you can eat sushi, sashimi, nigiri and maki.

We've also learned of a daily High Tea at Mitsi's Delicacies, which looks spectacular. There's also  a High Tea for two to share at the Hilton Colombo.

Back to dinner and a reminder that it's the last few days to enjoy Long Fen's Chinese Food Festival which ends on Saturday 27th February. This Sunday the "Buy 3, get 4" offer on lunch and dinner buffets at the Cinnamon Lakeside's Dining Room also ends, so make the most of it this weekend! 

Happy Hours & Ladies' Night

It was international Margarita Day on Monday and there's lots of margarita deals to celebrate! The Floor by O and the Shore by O have pitcher deals on three types of margarita, until 28th February. There's also deals on three types of margarita at Darley Road until 28th February. At the Capital Bar and Grill the margarita celebration continues a week longer to 7th March.

The Capital Bar and Grill also have a happy hour from Monday to Saturday, with buy one, get one free deals on selected beers, wines, cocktails and spirits. Also, a reminder of the midweek Happy Hour at Elevate, with stunning views of the city from the 29th floor.

Ladies nights: many of the regular ones seem to be on Wednesdays but there a few later in the week. On Thursdays The Urban Grill Pub and Re.pub.lk offer free cocktails to ladies,and on Fridays ladies get free drinks at Playtrix and A Minute by Tuktuk. Gentlemen: you get one Gentleman's night a week at King of the Mambo!

Live Music & DJs

A few changes in the regular gigs this week, with some Friday slots moved to Thursday. The Notion play at In on the Green tonight and Ace of Pentacles play Bro Pub.  Tonight will also see Rainmakers at Pappa Rich and Ishani and the Branch at Floor by O.

On Saturday, Aquarius are back at Darley Road and the Warehouse Project at Honey Beach Club and OIC at Sunset Blu.  For some smooth Jazz, Hania will be at the Gallery Cafe.

On Sunday you'll find reggae with Fuze playing at Honey Beach Club.

If you' like reggae then you want to be at Darley Road on Thursday night where DJ Shamith will be spinning reggae tunes. Alternatively DJ Ricardo Deen will be playing Funky Thursday  tunes at The Irish,

DJ Neco will be at Level4 and the Tantra Lounge hosts DJ Vehan.

Other Events

If the margarita week celebrations have got you in the mood, you can take part in some bachata dancing at Floor by O. However if you prefer to exercise the memory, then the monthly Big Fat Quiz is at The Grove.

For the cycling enthusiasts, Cycle Tours  Sri Lanka have organised a two day cycling tour of Rangala and the Knuckles departing on Friday. The Bushwalkers are also going out of town for a camping weekend in Mistyland.

On Saturday, Baking Basket  are holding a cake baking and decorating workshop.

There is also a workshop on Positive Thinking and Mental Wellbeing at Cafe Kumbuk.

For the young water sports enthusiast, beginner bodyboard lessons will be held at Sugar Beach in Mount Lavinia on both Saturday and Sunday morning.
