Mara Johnston recently judged over 50 submissions for the 2023 New York Best Projects for Engineering News-Record.  The winner will be announced at the ENR Best Projects awards event on November 17, 2023.

Team Updates

Neil Kahrim Joins Keystone Global as Senior Advisor helping to bolster our capital raise and M&A advisory relationships. Neil's previous roles included Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Customers Bank,  Director at OakNorth, and Managing Director at Bank of America focused on Leveraged Finance Derivative Solutions. 

Rishika Sawale wraps up summer internship with a final presentation on her work throughout the summer. Rishika focused on EV Charging developments in the US, Infrastructure technology fund research, Brownfield project M&A analysis, and Corporate M&A valuations.

Egis S.A. acquires McIntosh Perry and Beam, Longest & Neff, LLC
Egis announced its acquisition of McIntosh Perry on June 25th, 2023. Based in Canada, McIntosh Perry provides consulting engineering services and technical solutions to a wide range of private and public sector clients. This acquisition will act as the North American platform for Egis. (Link)
 
Aug.-Sep. 2023 - Projects
California High Speed Rail Gets $202 Million in Federal Funding
The California High-Speed Rail Authority has been awarded more than $200 million from the Biden Administration in what is one of the largest pieces of federal funding awarded to the project in its history. (Link)
 
Aug.-Sep. 2023 - Corporate M&A
Atwell Acquires Bay Engineering & Mead Gilman & Associates
Atwell, a national consulting, engineering, and construction services firm, acquired both Bay Engineering, an engineering, surveying, and environmental firm headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, and Mead Gilman & Associates, a land surveying firm located in Woodinville, Washington. (Link)
 
September 2023 - Federal Investments 
Tracking Federal Investment in Local Infrastructure Projects
National League of Cities releases the Rebuilding America dashboard, a new resource showing which cities, towns and villages have successfully received direct federal grants from the IIJA. (Link)
 
September 2023 - Projects
Construction to Start on Hudson River Rail Tunnel
The Gateway Development Commission awarded the first contracts for construction on the New Jersey side of the $16.1 billion two-track Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), with the first phase of the transformative plan expected to break ground as soon as October. (Link)
