The past few weeks have been extremely busy and filled with so much to share with you. The wait is over and the weekly updates are back. So what has been keeping me so busy?
Let's take a look!
Sakari got a photoshoot!
Even though she was still a little shy after arriving, Sakari is making the most of her new home and all the possibilities of educating the public about arctic foxes.

Four new foxes from Utah!
Four new friendly faces showed up at the center late in August. Shasta, Moxy, Arri and Nick. These new faces came from a fox education center in Utah and are here to join the JABCECC pack and meet you on your next visit!
You may remember me sharing going up to the center to help build enclosures. This is it! They are all done and have become home to these new foxy faces!

I have been working diligently on my long-term mountain lion project here in southern California. Obtaining more trail cameras to cover more area and spending more time on the trails looking for signs and the big cats themselves. I have been so excited to share the new footage with you and also some big news that is in the works.
The Mountain Lion Foundation reached out to talk about the project and get to know the purpose and what inspired this work. They asked if I could write an article for their blog about my journey in conservation photography and how it lead to working with these wild cats. Be sure to keep an eye out at the end of September when the piece should be going out! I will also be sharing all the footage I gather of mountain lions with them for their use in a social media series. Definitely go checkout Mountain Lion Foundation and learn more about what they do and how they help.
When I went to Minnesota to pick up Sakari, Clara and Mae, I was excited to get the full tour of their facilities! Save-a-fox rescue welcomed me and let me meet all of their beautiful animals. From a mink to horses and yes, they have foxes, I got to see and photograph it all.
Sessions at JABCECC
Even with all the time spent searching for lions, I make sure to keep bookings available for you to come and get your session with the amazing fox ambassadors of JABCECC!
There is a lot of time, effort and expense that goes into creating images and working towards conservation goals that protect the wild places we visit. It would be an honor to have my work displayed in your home as a way to keep doing this work!
