Wow, this is a tough one! Much respect for all Ktunaxa language learners. I love the way these names describe what goes on during the time of the month, it makes a lot of sense. "Fruit ripening during the night" makes me think of the Creston cherries I have in the fridge. Yum, I can't wait to have some.
The gallery is bustling these days. Lots of new and regular visitors and locals introducing their guests to the gallery. We appreciate your support and enjoy meeting you all!
A fun event happening at the gallery tonight is Rico's sold-out one line drawing workshop. Kimberley Arts is organising this workshop as part of their Kimberley Kaleidoscope Arts Festival. Looking forward to everyone's one line creations.
Unfortunately, "Live Music with Zonnis", the concert that was supposed to happen on September 4th, has been cancelled due to a fractured shoulder. We wish Andrea a speedy recovery! To get a taste of Andrea & Adam's music, click or tap here to visit their website. Hopefully we'll be able to welcome them to "The Laundromat" in the future.
Something else to look forward to is the next art show in the exhibition space. During the month of September, we'll be offering you a joined exhibition by two Vancouver artists: Helen Geddes and Heidi Sidhu Gigler. More information to follow on our website soon.
Also coming in September are some exciting new artworks. You saw them here first!
We are looking forward to seeing you at the gallery. Until then, stay cool and play safe.
