Smile Project on nationwide journey to spread kindness

A random act of kindness can makes someone's whole day.

A group who came through the metro is doing just that.

The Smile Project is on a journey across the county spending time in multiple cities spreading kindness.

Tuesday was day 46 on their journey.

They went to the refugee empowerment center and the women's center for advancement.

The founder of The Smile Project says it's the little things that make a big difference.

Liz Buechele said, "It just comes down to what little things you can do with what time you have and what skills you have, it doesn't have to be about money, it doesn't have to be about age or experience, just about making the effort to make someone's day and I think we all have the power to do that."

People at the Refugee Empowerment Center make kindness cards to the group to take on their stop to Green Bay, Wisconsin.
