I hope you are well and happy. This past month, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy. It was a trip of a lifetime. I truffle-hunted on a hillside where the purple grapes hung heavily off the vine, I was caught in a rainstorm on the medieval streets of San Gimignano, rode a bicycle along the top of the wall surrounding Lucca, I ate gelato while walking along the canals of Venice, and I splashed my feet in the clear blue waters of Cinque Terre. While traveling solo, I also stayed a week at Toscano Saporita Culinary School in Tuscany. We cooked, we ate, and we explored—on repeat. It was heaven. During the entire trip, I continually thought how blessed I was that I had the chance to explore new cities, meet new friends, and eat incredible food. I came home with a heart full of joy and a soul filled with the Tuscan sun. I once saw a quote by Anna Akhmatova that read, “Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life,” and that dream has truly woven itself into my very core. XO Rebekah |
