Happy '360' Thursday! Here are this week's resources, quote, and question. |

Study groups Research shows that one of the best ways to learn is to teach, also known as the Protégé Effect. As a student, you can utilize this approach to help yourself and your classmates succeed. An approach that allows everyone to benefit from peer-to-peer teaching is by forming a study group. |

Tip for students Here are 10 steps to create a productive study group: When forming a group, look for people who are motivated to learn. Keep the group small. An ideal size is three or four people. Create a schedule to meet, in person or online, and stick to it. Discuss specific and realistic SMART goals. Prepare for your study group session with comments, questions, and ideas. Agree to receive and give feedback that is supportive, respectful, and kind. Warm up first. The brain takes time to get into learning mode, so schedule 5-10 minutes for small talk. Take breaks, share healthy snacks, and stay hydrated. Your brain is burning a lot of calories when learning! Make it fun! We tend to do more of the things that are enjoyable and avoid things that aren't. Before ending the study session, make goals for the week and for your next meeting.
