Building Community

When Sara Whitehair, Director of Waterbury Common Market, let us know there was a need for a very specifically sized check-out counter for the store, MakerSphere jumped at the chance to use our new woodshop to lend a hand.

Waterbury Common Market offers food assistance to Waterbury area residents, and MakerSphere was pleased to help support this essential program in the community.

Bob Lindemann of MakerSphere, stepped up to design and build the counter which features movable shelves, printer and computer space and a bag packing station. Once designed, Bob spent a month constructing, sanding, staining and sealing the new counter which was delivered to the market on May 8th.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this project and to Sara Whitehair for transforming the market space and all you do for the coummunity! Photo; Bob Lindemann at work
