Just a few words and topics I have written in this space, to you, in this past year alone. Words that are woven within my life within the fabric of time. I have a love of writing, and I especially love writing to each of you every single month—sharing silly stories, fun adventures, as well as, more meaningful, vulnerable topics. This month, I would like to say “thank you” and share with you my heart of gratitude. Thank you for supporting my business and my family, for your emails sharing your personal stories and thoughts from newsletter's past, for coming to decorating classes and purchasing cookies. Thank you for your words of encouragement, strength, and overall friendships. I wish you all well and hope you are enjoying this beautiful autumn month and season of thanks.

Royal Icing Workshops

Royal icing workshops are back!! Learn the art of royal icing in this hands-on workshop. In this small group setting, each person will be provided with all of the supplies (including a mixer), and I will give step-by-step icing instructions. We will create various consistencies for flooding, piping, and even florals. Each participant will go home with their royal icing perfectly stored away in a new container, as well as a copy of my Royal Icing Online Course and e-book.

Thanksgiving Cookie Pre-orders

Thanksgiving cookies are now available to order. Pumpkin cookies are customizable. You can add your Thanksgiving guest's names as a dinner place-setting. Cookie pick-ups will begin Sunday, November 19th, and run through Tuesday, November 21st. Gluten-free is available for the pumpkin cookies and cookie kits.

Cinnamon Roll Roll-out Sugar Cookies

Yields 12 Cookies

1 C Unsalted butter

1 C Sugar

1 Large egg

1/4 C Cinnamon Bun Paste

1 tsp. Butter vanilla emulsion

1 tsp cinnamon

3 1/4 C Flour

3/4 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. Baking powder

2 Tbl Sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (to sprinkle on dough)

 

Cream the butter and sugar. Add egg and paste. Add dry ingredients. Roll out dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Lightly sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture on one side of the rolled-out dough. Place parchment paper over the top and flip the dough. Sprinkle the mixture over the back side of the dough. Refrigerate for 1-2 hrs. Cut out in desired shapes and bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes.

For royal icing: Add cream cheese emulsion while mixing your icing.
