We are so thankful! CCMP'S OCTOBER NEWSLETTER |
We are so thankful for all of our patrons, members and The Encore Series that support our shows each year. Ticket sales are going very well and we are looking forward to selling out. So if you haven't got your tickets yet...you better buy them soon! The results of our last survey were very helpful and we appreciate the efforts of those who took the time to fill it out. We are happy to be appreciated as a welcoming group that mentors new members and presents high caliber musicals. How we pick our shows: Our Board members create a shortlist of shows that they would like to produce based on what has not been done yet, what they they think patrons / members would like to see presented and which licenses are available to rent. Popular shows like Wicked!, Come From Away or Hamilton are either restricted or not yet available for community theatre groups to rent. However, our Board is always checking. If you feel you received this email by mistake or wish to unsubscribe, please click the link at the bottom of this newsletter. We are currently working on cleaning up our mailing list and ask that you have patience with us as we do so. Please do not report us as spam. We do not wish to intrude on your mailbox and only want to share our news with those who wish to receive it. |

DID YOU KNOW? Richard O’Brien wrote The Rocky Horror Show during a period of unemployment. Mick Jagger wanted to play Dr. Frank N. Furter in the film version. Steve Martin wanted the role of Brad in the film version Vincent Price wanted to play the Narrator/Dr. Scott but he had too many conflicts According to The Guardian (UK), the stage show was originally only 40 minutes long, so “The Time Warp” was written in to fill time in the film. Plus, composer Richard Hartley said, “you need a dance number in a musical.” Note: Our production will be 90 minutes long.
Rocky Horror Fans - We want to hear from you! Please take a moment to click the link at the end of this newsletter and fill out a quick two question survey. Thank you. Sources: MeTV, Mental Floss and Broadway Buzz. |

MEET THE THE ROCKY HORROR SOUND TEAM |
Mon joined CCMP in 2019 for the production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame with his sidekick, LJ. For those of you who saw our last show, you know that the sound will "Rock" for The Rocky Horror Show. CCMP is thrilled that Mon will be working with us again in 2024. |
LJ is a sound and theatre technician by trade and is based out of Toronto. CCMP and the production team are happy to welcome LJ back and are thankful for all the hard work that LJ puts into our shows to make us sound so good. |

CCMP is sad for the loss of their theatre friend, Bruce Brown, who was a talented set builder and designer for many of their shows and others in our community theatre world. He was always one to lend a hand when asked for help and could be found at the Tannery or in the theatre workshop with drill in hand, ready to work. Bruce will be missed by his CCMP friends and we wish him peace and love until we meet again. |
