Hi friends,
I hope you all have gotten through January. It can be a doozy, with all those toxic dieting messages and "New Year, New You" BS. Hopefully February can help us usher in "Same Me, Just as Good" kind of vibes.
Over the summer, I had the chance to "chat" with the lovely Sondra Kronberg, MS, RD, CDN, CEDRD on her weekly program "Morningside Chats in the Living Room". Born of a desire to create community during the height of the COVID pandemic, Sondra hosts weekly "chats" with experts in the eating disorder field in order to provide free, weekly virtual support for all people struggling with eating disorders.
I was lucky enough to join Sondra in July and, this week, my chat is their featured Chat Video of the Week, alongside her chats with eating disorder giants like Carolyn Costin and Dr. Jennifer Gaudiani. What an honor!
Sondra and I talk anger, shame and the way we tend to respond to our emotions with judgement rather than compassion. We talk through putting new tools in your toolbox and how to come to our emotions with self-validation: "It makes sense I feel _______ because...". Grab a coffee and cozy up. Let's chat.
All the best,
Bryn
PS: If you are looking for support this weekend, my dear friend and long-time mentor Dr. Elizabeth Easton is chatting with Sondra this Saturday at 11 am EST. Click here to learn more or register.
