Rewild My Street wild makeover tip: April

Grow food for wildlife. Plant up flower beds or containers with plants that look beautiful and provide edible nectar, leaves or fruit for wildlife. Include scented varieties (eg jasmine) for moths and native ones (eg ivy) for their caterpillars. Try flowering trees (eg crab apple) for bees and shrubs with berries (eg cotoneaster) for birds. Reconsider insect 'pests' as valuable food for ladybirds, hedgehogs and birds to be tolerated or controlled organically.
