AWAKE IL VICE PRESIDENT ATTENDS ROCKFORD FOREST CITY FORUM LUNCHEON |

Retired Major General (pictured left), USAG John Borling invited Awake IL to attend a luncheon in Rockford put on by his newly formed advocacy group “Forest City Forum”. Vice President Josh McBroom (pictured center above) represented Awake Illinois at the Nov. 18th event. "FCF" will have a focus on freedom, constitutional rights, and what they see as anti-American indoctrination taking place in public schools. General Borling believes Awake IL could be a resource to their newly formed advocacy. In attendance were the Mayor of Rockford, the Police Chief and Fire Department Chief. The General introduced Josh to all of these communities leaders as his guest and allowed him to give a short Awake commercial to the audience. We look forward to any partnership and synergy Awake can have with these passionate people. | | |

A couple weeks ago, Parents Defending Education hosted a summit of advocates from across the country in Washington D.C. Awake Illinois President Shannon Adcock was proud to attend this great event that empowered our respective groups to further network with each other and share resources. In the spirit of the parent movement that is traversing our country, it was a special surprise to have the Governor-Elect of Virginia Glenn Youngkin speak at the dinner where he received an award from PDE.
