Finally some great news!!!
All classes will resume as of Saturday, October 30th.
We are so excited to be reopening and can’t wait to see everyone back.
Unfortunately there will be no classes running on Tuesday, November 2nd due to Cup Day but we look forward to seeing all of our Tuesday gymnasts back the following week on November 9th.
Places have been held, so all gymnasts are still enrolled in the same class as before the lockdown. If you are unsure of your child’s class please email us and we’ll confirm that for you.
ZOOM CLASSES
Zoom classes will run as normal this week. Fees for zoom classes attended from September 27th onwards will be added to your November payment.
FEES
Invoices have been adjusted to reflect all classes missed during the lockdown, and the final payment for 2021 is scheduled for November 15th. Updated invoices will be emailed out shortly so that you know exactly what your final payment will be.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
As you would be aware, entry to most indoor venues is conditional upon being fully vaccinated, and indoor sport is no different. All those aged 16 years and over must be fully vaccinated in order to return to classes. This includes any parents/guardians entering the venue.
We will not be collecting or storing any vaccination certificates. We will just need to sight the certificate once so that we can tick it off. The easiest way to do this is to link your certificate to the Services Victoria check in app and show that to us upon entry.
At this stage it is not mandatory for 12-15 year olds to be vaccinated for indoor sport but we believe this is soon to be introduced. We will keep you updated when we know more.
I know this a very divisive topic at the moment and as a business we find ourselves in a very difficult position. There will be a lot of our members who are happy with this requirement but I am also aware that there will be many who are not.
All we want to do is get back to teaching gymnastics but in order to do that we must follow these mandates or risk very heavy fines. We can’t afford to stay closed which means we must follow these directives.
We know that we may lose gymnasts because of the vaccine requirements and we truly are heartbroken to have that happen. We hope anyone in this position will return to Eclipse when these requirements are no longer in place.
If there are any changes to the vaccination requirements we will let you know immediately.
CHECK IN
Anyone coming into the building must check in with the QR code even if only coming in for a couple of minutes.
SPECTATORS
As we still have to adhere to a density quotient we will not be allowing spectators in just yet with the exception of the following:
- Parents/guardians of children attending their first or second class
- Parents/guardians of children aged 5 or under
- Parents/guardians of children with special needs
Any spectators over the age of 16 must be fully vaccinated in order to enter the premises.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Parents are welcome to come in briefly for drop off and pick up if necessary but no more than 5 minutes prior to the end of class. Any parents coming in must wear a mask, check in with the QR code and be fully vaccinated.
Coaches will supervise children at the front door to meet their parents outside when classes are dismissed. Gymnasts will not be permitted to walk through the carpark unaccompanied, so please park and come up to the front steps for pick up.
MASKS
Anyone aged 12 years and over must wear a suitable face covering. Gymnasts can remove their mask for training, and coaches may remove their mask when demonstrating activities.
DISPLAY
The end of year display will go ahead on December 19th for all gymnasts in after school programs. Please click the link below for more details if you have not received previous emails.
We will be running the display without spectators as that is what has been planned for, and is also the advice with regards to events with children who are not yet eligible for the vaccine.

2022 CLASSES
We are still in the process of finalising our 2022 timetable and will have booking information out in the next couple of weeks.
