Movers & Shakers the weekly edit |

|
A weekly edit, full of all singing and dancing makers, artists, interiors, food, fashion, gardening, music and more. Hello! This week my thoughts have very much been on the hospitality sector who as I type, are beavering away, preparing to open their doors once again. I wish them the very best of luck, as I am sure you all do too. One thing we can do for those in the industry is get out and visit their establishments because if we don't go, they will not survive. It is advisable to look up opening times and to book before setting out, even if it's just for an aperitif, there's nothing worse than being told 'there's no room at the inn'. It is also worth remembering that this is new territory for everyone; it's certainly not going to be an easy ride to start with for those on the wrong side of the bar ... patience is a virtue. xx Georgie xx |

NICOLA SUTCLIFFE FASHION ILLUSTRATOR & CLOTHING DESIGNER It was a delight to met with Nicola last year at the historic Piece Hall in Halifax, West Yorkshire. (I try where possible to meet with people face to face, although the current situation has put a spanner in the works for me in that department). I digress. I am exceedingly grateful to Nicola for the illustration she did of me as seen at the top of this newsletter, on my profile pics, etc. The movement in her work is so fluid and chic. If you haven't checked out Nicola's instagram feed, do have a look (link below). Amongst Nicola's fashion illustrations is a beautiful logo designed for This Woman's Heart a charity and arts based organisation healing hearts through creativity and community. Nicola also happens to be an award-winning clothing designer, selling vintage inspired designs using natural materials, specialising in tweed, silk, linen and wool. notjustalable.com |

THE COUNTRYSIDE CODE Thank you Hewetson & Johnson for bringing the CLA Countryside Code to my attention. Their campaign to lobby the government so that young people can learn to enjoy the countryside safely and responsibly, is an excellent concept. If you feel like helping spread the Countryside Code, download the CLA graphics and get spreading! |
