Welcome Our New Neighbors!

We've had some new arrivals to the neighborhood recently, so (naturally...) we had a party to welcome our new neighbors!

Kellee Thorpe, from Odessa, Texas, and Dani Mains, from Soldotna, Alaska, both bought homes on Esperanza, and Bill Wells, Jr. along with his wife Kay moved into Bill's father's townhouse on Los Olmos.

Many of you know long-time resident and past Board member Bill Wells Sr. He has decided to only spend a couple of weeks in the winter here - as opposed to the full winter months. Fortunately, the younger Wells have the time and opportunity to “test out” GV on a year-round basis. Bill Jr. works from home and Kay is interviewing for positions at UofA. The Wells family is from Wisconsin and we certainly hope they'll love Green Valley as much as we do!

Block Captains Wanted!

Signs, signs, everywhere signs; you may have noticed the Neighborhood Watch signs recently placed in the exterior alleys. The Legal / Safety Committee is organizing the new Neighborhood Watch Program for the GVTH5 Neighborhood, culminating with the Neighborhood Watch presentation at the next Board meeting.

There are openings for Block Captains for Los Robles, Los Pinos, and Las Yucas streets. Block Captains are "directly involved" with their street neighbors concerning safety issues and assistance for neighbors. The goal is improved communication, service, and safety on the street level.
