What’s Happening

First of all I want to say thank you for getting behind my single, Nice To See You! It has been a strange time to release new music but I am so happy that I have finally been able to record this song and release it in digital form.

It has been so long since I have released any new music, especially my own original songs so Nice To See You had to be the first release for this recording project.

Michael Carpenter and I have been working hard at LoveHz Studio and I am thrilled to have Michael along with Jy-Perry Banks, Zane Banks and Luke Moller playing on my recordings so far. If all goes to plan I will have a full album ready to be released early next year. The album will be available on CD as well as in digital format. Before then you can expect to hear a couple more singles which I hope you will love as much as I do!

My Picks

It was so great to attend the debut of a new local band last Thursday night at Django bar. Michael Carpenter and The Banks Brothers is the latest lineup featuring Zane and Jy Perry Banks (Cruisin' Deuces) and Michael Carpenter (LoveHz Studio) who were joined by Captain Rekless (Better off Ted) and Lozz Benson (That Red Head/ Benson and The Outlaws) for a night of toe tapping honky tonk music.

Thanks so much to Colin, Brian and Linda for making up a table and listening to some great live music with me.

Michael Carpenter will be back at Django Bar on September Thursday 17th with Sophie Jones (Smith and Jones) in their show The Music of Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty.

This Saturday I'm looking forward to stepping out to Butchers Brew Bar in Dulwich Hill for some blues with The 12Bar Dudes at 3pm followed by the incredible Bek Jenson and The Gold Rockets at 7pm.

The Big Question

Question 1: Who was your favourite country artist growing up?

Michelle's Answer: Garth Brooks. It's a tough question and most people would assume that Patsy Cline was my favourite but as a country fan in the 90's I would have to say Garth Brooks closely followed by Reba McEntire.

Now for a bit of fun and so we can get to know each other better, I would love to hear your answers. Send me your answer to the Big Question by reply email and I'll put it in the next newsletter. If you provide your address you'll also receive a signed copy of my Nice To See You lyrics pictured on the right.

Bye for now,

         Michelle XX
