Did you know that October is LGBT History Month? Started in 1994, it is a national celebration of our heritage, and includes National Coming Out Day (October 11th). Since 2006, the Equality Forum has featured and LGBT icon every day of the month.

October 18: Happy Hour & Business Fair

Our next Third Thursday Happy Hour is on October 18th, at VNYL at the Shops at Legacy in Plano. This month features over 15 LGBT+ friendly local businesses! Come see supportive businesses, meet new friends, and have fun at "Plano's Best Night Club!" For more information, see our Facebook event.

October 25: Quarterly Quorum: Out of Order

Join us for a FREE Event where we will view Out of Order, a documentary that focuses on the Ordination Process in the Presbyterian Church (USA) as it pertains to LBGT+ candidates for ministry. A panel of local faith leaders, featuring Rev. Neil Cazares-Thomas from Cathedral of Hope, Rev. Mark Wingfield, Rev. Mike Gregg, and our own GALA Board Member Rev. Pepa Paniagua will host discussion and Q+A following the screening of the film. Popcorn and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
