February Updates

2024 is here, and the Trauma Healing Center is helping more people than ever before!

Trauma is everywhere these days. Tragic events like the Kansas City community experienced last week, natural disasters, reports of child abuse, human trafficking, and many other crisis seem to be happening all around us. Yet, so many of our Community Caregivers have never received training in a trauma-informed approach for helping individuals. We are here to change that!

Our Safe Harbors program is designed to train Community Caregivers in a research-based and biblically informed approach to caring for our community.

As we continue to build relationships, and support and train those who are caring for the community, not only will we be better equipped to handle the trauma and tragedy around us, but we believe we will begin to see less of it. When the signs and indicators of trauma appear, they will be recognized and addressed quickly and in a healing way.

This will make our families stronger, waitlists for services will decrease, the foster care system will be transformed, and our churches and non-profits will be stronger and healthier than ever before!

God has called us to this!

Will you partner with us in this groundbreaking mission?

As we have been supporting, encouraging, and training our Community Caregivers, we have found amazing resources that our city is currently offering, and we have helped to create new resources.

This has allowed us to resource many people impacted by the recent community crisis, those coming out of deep hurt from church wounding, those sorting through the confusion of betrayal and fear when unexpected tragedy overtakes their ministry or organization, and many other cases of abuse and trauma.

If you are serving and supporting other organizations in their work - THANK YOU!

Those of you who are supporting us - THANK YOU!

If you are wondering what you can do to BRING ABOUT HEALING CHANGE in our community, we invite you to partner with us.

We can use your financial support now more than ever! If you would like to help us on our mission to bring trauma-informed care into our communities and create healthy spaces for every person to grow and heal, consider making either a one-time or a monthly donation today.

GIVE

When we meet our budget goals for the year, we will be able to add a few bonus programs to our lineup!

  • We will be able to add a new website specifically for those with complex trauma and dissociation packed with resources to bring healing and move their healing journey forward.

  • We will be able to acquire the resources to greatly improve the quality of our web-based trainings and support groups reaching people nationally and internationally. (We regularly receive calls from organizations and individuals in other states and countries asking for training and resources. Currently, we are only able to do this on a limited basis.)

Please consider praying about how you may be able to help us reach our goals and establish our community as one of health and healing for those who are local and abroad!
