Stay Involved with Public Power New Mexico!
Public Power New Mexico is working to create a Local Solar Access Fund, a proposed grant fund at the New Mexico Finance Authority, which will issue grants to Tribes, Counties, Municipalities, and School Districts to plan and build solar and storage projects to power public buildings and infrastructure. Grants could fund grant writers and technical expertise to plan and fund projects, as well as construction, purchase, installation, and equipment of solar energy and storage systems. Learn more here.

Join us as we work through this next year to get the Local Solar Access Fund funded and passed. There are many ways to engage and get involved.

We are also working on directly supporting solar and storage projects that benefit our communities through fundraising, grant writing, and technical support.

We are working on creating a toolkit highlighting innovative community-owned solar success stories throughout New Mexico, and tools to work within our existing system to create beneficial community-owned solar projects and programs.
