Subscriber Newsletter

What's happening in the world of DOC?

For our first newsletter, we wanted to welcome our initial subscribers, give you an update, and set the tone for future communications...and for DOC.

What We’re Up To

It's been less than two months since DOC was conceived as an idea, and just two days from Workshop 1, a demo event meant to both show attendees what DOC is all about and to collect feedback on our direction and offerings.

Feel free to share this newsletter with anyone else you think would be interested in the event. There are so many organizations that could benefit from a long-term focus on the health of their cultures, especially at a time when our shared spaces are being politicized.

Orgs that aren't ready for this risk alienation for members who don't "fit the mold" in terms of shared beliefs. And this has the potential to accelerate the disappearance of these shared spaces.

You can read more about that in our latest blog post, featured below along with a podcast I was on recently.

I want to express my gratitude to you, my earliest supporters, and feel free to reach out with any feedback, ideas, or just to say hi.

My friend Jessica Beckendorf invited me on her podcast, Practicing Connection, part of the organization OneOp, which supports military families.

I'm reluctant to even share this, given how obvious it is that I saw it as an opportunity to talk...a lot. That's especially true at the end, when it seemed like I was almost filibustering in response to a simple question.

As embarrassed as I am, I also see it as a chance for self-reflection and transparency. And as much as I cringed while listening, I still think I had some real things to say.

Take a listen if you dare—don't worry, it's only 45 minutes—and feel free to give me your unvarnished feedback!
