Time is marching on! This winter is coming to a close with a few more weeks of opportunity for joyous winter festivities. We want to thank all the staff and volunteers who were involved with a very successful Bonhomme Carnaval and a special thank you to Frank Loeffen as this year's Bonhomme! Winter is full of fun events here in East Ferris, one of which is Wasi Cross Country Ski Club's Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe. Feeling poetic? The K. Valerie Connor Memorial Poetry Celebration is an annual province-wide literary contest run by the Leacock Museum in honour of one of the museum's cherished volunteers, Valerie Connor. This contest supports original works of poetry from Ontario residents in three age categories and offers $2,100 in total cash prizes! To learn more visit their website: leacockmuseum.com.

Reading Challenge
We have a super cool reading bingo as our challenge of the month! Complete your bingo before the end of March to pick a prize from our treasure chest of treasures, trinkets, and art supplies. Bingo sheets are available at the front desk in both French and English.

Minecraft Club
MONDAYS AT 4:00 PM
Do your kids love Minecraft? Your library has a Minecraft club for kids aged 7-14! Come down to the library Mondays at 4:00 pm for an hour of Minecraft building and more on our secure library server. Interact with other players at the library and build amazing structures and creations. This is a drop in program, no advanced sign up required.
Colouring Contest

This month's colouring contest is sure to make you feel luckier than ever! Colour the rainbow and enter to win a rainbow themed art supply prize. Pick up a page here at the library or download a copy to print at home. Winner announced at the end of the month.
Homeschool Group
WEDNESDAYS AT 2:00 PM
Are you a homeschooling family in the area? Join us for our weekly homeschool group! Weeks one and three each month are for hanging out, board games, and other fun times with friends. Weeks two and four are organized, planned events with themes. This month build 3D shapes you can close and open with the pull of a string applying math and physics for a super cool craft. We are also calling all Lego fans on March 14th for an introduction to the app Brickit along with Lego challenges galore. All welcome, no sign up required.
Book Bugs

Can you catch the reading bug? There are countless reasons why you should! Early reading builds countless skills that last young minds lifetime. Join friends at the library weekly for themed crafts and activities, songs, and contests. Read a new book every week and play fun games. Make a craft, sing a song, and catch the reading bug! Jammies Night

March Break Programs
MARCH 13TH - 16TH FROM 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Take your March Break to the MAX! Monday and Thursday's programs will run from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Tuesday and Wednesday's programs will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. On Monday play games, craft at crafting tables, and kick off your March Break with a ton of library fun! Tuesday is all about STEM, experiments, and technology. Wednesday express yourself with theater style crafts and mask making along with a hilarious improve play. Thursday wraps up the fun with popcorn, slime and a movie. Don't miss it! This is a drop in program, no sign up required. If you do not arrive at the beginning of the program you may miss some of the activities!
