MakerSphere Expanded After School Program

This academic year, the after school program has expanded to not only include a number of new classes, but also added a new location; Crossett Brook Middle School. Now, middle schoolers in grades 5 - 8 can go directly to a MakerSphere class at the end of their school day.

New classes for middle schoolers include cooking, woodworking and upcycled/recycled art and products. Studio art and making are also still on the schedule. These classes will bring some new energy to the sustainability classrooms including the kitchen and wood shop which have seen little use in recent years.

Classes for K through 4th grade will continue to be held at the Seminary building in Waterbury Center. This year, a new class solely for kindergarteners has been added. Other classes include one for grades 1 & 2 and two classes for grades 3 & 4. Unlike past years, parents can now register for any of five sessions throughout the academic year. Classes start next week but there is still time to register!
