WHO WE ARE
Toby's Place is a weekly drop-in program for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, folks questioning their gender and/or sexuality, and friends and allies, 20-years-old and under.

Where: 33 East Road (Kingston and Warden, we're located in the basement of Birchcliff Bluffs United Church in Scarborough)
What: Dinner, activities/workshops, and discussions!
Cost: Free!

DINNER
Each week we provide snacks and dinner, always with vegetarian options, and often with mashed potatoes and garlic bread!
WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES
Everything from crafts (eg. collages, flower crowns), to workshops (such as self-care, salsa dancing, and healthy relationships), and activities (like make your own smoothies or cupcakes)!
A SAFE(R) SPACE
Our space has books, board games, arts and craft supplies, a ping pong table, clothing boutique, and shower facilities!
OUR STORY
Toby's Place began in September 2017 in the basement of Birchcliff Bluffs United Church, an Affirming congregation. We are named in memory of Toby Dancer. Toby's Place is one of the few places in Scarborough that is a safe(r) space for queer and trans youth and their friends. We are open to folks from all and no faith/ spiritual backgrounds. Funding provided by the New Ministries Fund of The United Church of Canada Foundation, The ‘We’re Funny That Way’ Foundation, the City of Toronto (INI grant), an annual comedy night fundraiser, + community donations.
