Show Some Love to Your Environment this Valentine's Day!
February 3rd, 2021
The Student Greenhouse Project encourages you to learn more about ways to help your environment which overall benefits your health! As a group we pride ourselves on our love for the environment and all the ways we can change to help the world.
Black History Month is a yearly celebration dedicated to recognizing achievements and central roles African American people have contributed in the United States. This has branched out to many other countries due to the enormous impact and innovation African American's have created throughout history.
One of the best ways we can celebrate Black History Month is to recognize amazing environmentalists that have made amazing impacts in their fields of work. We'd like to recognize:
Bunyan Bryant
In 1972, he became the first African-American member of the School of Natural Resources and Environment faculty at the University of Michigan and is considered a pioneer in the field of environmental justice. All of his work established the making in the EPA's Work Group on Environmental Equity.
Remember:
“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.” —Dr. Mae Jemison, first African-American female astronaut
