Happy October! Over the last month, we've been busy moving this work forward. We've been having one-on-one conversations with many of you about your work and the EJPP, and we've been sitting in on the tables and discussions that you host. We've also been assembling a draft platform based on other equity and justice-related platforms (we could use your help–see below!). This work is all in preparation for our upcoming meetings next month! |

Our final two full-network meetings for 2020 will be: - Friday, November 20th from 10a-12p: This meeting will focus on two or three issues that intersect with most, if not all, of the topic areas and impact people in many, if not all, of our neighborhoods.

|
|
- Thursday, December 10th from 12-2p: At this meeting, we will review and discuss an updated draft of the platform. Our goal is to have a full (not final) draft complete by Friday, December 18th.

If you have additional examples of what inequity means to residents in your community, please send them to Neil Brown (neil@urbankind.org) so that we can continue to document a cross-section of lived experiences in the development of this platform. |

A Message from Get the Lead Out: There are no effective treatments for lead poisoning - none. Meanwhile, hundreds of kids in Pittsburgh are identified with elevated blood lead levels each year. We must act now. Please sign the petition ASAP! Click the link below to sign your name to ask Pittsburgh City Council to enact a Pittsburgh Lead Safety Law and protect our children from lead poisoning. #GetTheLeadOutPgh |

The Equitable & Just Platform Pittsburgh centers the voices and concerns of those in need of resources. We build trust across neighborhoods and topic areas. As a coalition, we support each other in order to imagine and create a better, equitable, and just future! |
