Sounds soooo cliche, doesn't it? If it does, that just means you've got a bit more work to do to get there. Trust me... I used to feel the same way.
Eventually I realized that the reason I wasn't in love with my life (nor myself) was because I was trying to live according to someone else's expectations of what my life should be.
The "someone else" is 100% irrelevant. The takeaway is that if you're living your life for anyone else other than yourself, you aren't actually LIVING. You're pretending... acting... faking it. And you're probably not loving it as a result.
If you just thought, but I have a spouse... kids... bills... blah, blah, blah. Excuse. Excuse. Excuse. When you say that, I hear "I'm fucking terrified to be myself because I don't even know who I am anymore... & I'm afraid people won't like/accept/love the real me."
If you're next thought is that the only way you can truly find yourself is to leave your spouse or abandon your kids or quit your job, well... you guessed it. More fear. Fear so deep that your only response is ridiculousness.
What if you used this month to explore the things that are stopping you from loving your life?
Here's a hint: it's nothing outside of yourself. THE thing that's stopping you from loving your life (& yourself) is YOU.
All kinds of shit is going to come at us from the outside world: needs, demands, desires, expectations, social norms, losses, disappointments & disadvantages.
But the quality of our life solely depends on our response to those external forces. Do we resist the opportunities to grow... learn... evolve? Or do we embrace the signs that are leading us to explore & connect with a wiser... stronger... more loving side of ourselves?
Steven Pressfield has an amazing book called The War of Art that talks about resistance & how it can show up in our lives. It's a quick & interesting read that I highly recommend. It impacted my life in amazing & unexpected ways.
So back to your homework (yep, as long as we're alive & kicking it in Earth School, there will be homework)...
What if you spent this month feeling into the places where you feel resistance?
Not sure what that even means?

If you still have questions after giving it a read, reach out! I've spent a good bit of time identifying & working to clear my own resistance. #stillaworkinprogress It's really not as hard as you might think. The hardest part is becoming aware of it.
If you're not sure how to even become aware of it, try a breathwork class. It's one of the easiest ways to see, dance with & release resistance.
So check out my on demand videos, in person classes around town and/or consider booking a private session (solo, couples or group) here.
The only thing holding you back from falling in love with your life (& yourself) is YOU. #sorrynotsorry
