Save the Date: Join our Advocacy and Organizing Training Cohort for an event on housing resources and issues |

Our Advocacy and Organizing Training participants chose housing as the focus of their advocacy project. They have decided to hold a housing event on Saturday, March 23rd from 1-3 p.m. (location to be confirmed). The event will include participants and other residents from across the county sharing their experiences with finding, living in, and staying in affordable housing. Our training participants would also like the event to be a place where renters can connect with resources. County’s top health post, vacant for a year, ‘vital’ to Innamorato administration |
“It’s been hard to get information out from [the Health Department] in the past, and considering it is a department focused on public health, it feels like a lot of that information needs to be made public, and there needs to be clarity on why the department is making certain decisions,” EJGP Director Jason Beery gave public testimony during the January Board of Health Meeting a few weeks ago to uplift our letter to the Board of Health and County Executive transition leadership, underscoring the need for a transparent and community-driven process to find the next Director. |
