CHRISTMAS IS HERE, AND SO IS OUR LATEST NEWS!

Hello everyone and welcome!

Our hearts are full of joy because you are reading our last news letter of 2023. We would like to say a big thank you to all those who have continued to support us throughout the year, and also to those who have just joined our amazing journey.

Your support is a blessing from God, and the work we are doing here in Bolivia is as a team, together. So as all the kids and I prepare for Christmas and the New Year, we need you to know that YOU were a huge part of making all this happen, and helped make 2023 an amazing year.

God has been so incredibly generous and good this year, and continues to bless Casa Segura and all the children abundantly.

Thank you for everything, enjoy our latest news letter and I hope you enjoy all that has happened here over the last few months.

GOD bless, Mik. 🎄🎁

SCHOOL IS OVER, AND THE HOLIDAYS HAVE ARRIVED.

We are so happy because the kids have finished yet another year of school. Here in Bolivia it is customary at the end of the year to celebrate with typical dances and a gymnastic festival.

 TAQUIRARI

In this photo our two princesses are ready for the traditional dance from eastern Bolivia called taquirari with beautiful traditional clothing.

PYRAMIDS AND GYMNASTICS🤸

It is so good exciting to see the children preparing many weeks for the gymnastic presentation, which at the same time is their final evaluation of their grades.

TOBAS

The Danza De Los Tobas is a Bolivian folk dance created in the city of Oruro, this time it was Paul, Nicole and Vicente's turn to dance and learn more about the culture in Bolivia.

OUR NEW VOLUNTEER🤗

Alejandra and her family have been part of Casa Segura since we started in 2005. It is a joy to have seen her grow up along side of the kids. She will be with us over the holidays helping out in all areas. Alejandra has the biggest heart and loves the kids so much. It will be sad for her to go home in January.

VISITING OUR YOUNG UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

Many of our young adults are now studying in other cities, I miss them so much, so this month I had the chance to get a quick visit and see Loida, Benjamin and Brayan in Santa Cruz where they now study and work.

BAPTISM DAY

A couple of days ago we also celebrated the baptism of a brother from our church.

We have so many Church baptisms down the creek at Casa Segura. It’s always a blessing. Not only for the children, but for all our Church members as well.

YET ANOTHER TROPHY 🏆

As you know, the boys of Casa really enjoy playing soccer, and yet again they got second place over all at Riberalta’s United Church tournament. Medals all round for each boy. They were super excited.

There is always lots of Birthday cake at Casa Segura. Here is Diego, Sandra, Paul, Joel and Titi celebrating theirs 🎉🍰:

FOOD AND CLOTHING FOR THOSE IN NEED❤️‍🩹

We are so excited to tell you about our new project: Together with our young adults we are collecting clothes and groceries to distribute on the streets to homeless and unfortunate people who don’t have anything. We also get to bless some of our Church families who struggle living in poverty. It has been amazing to see the kids learning to give back, they have huge hearts and also love blessing others.

OUR CONSTRUCTION IS ADVANCING!!

Day by day with the help of many, donors, volunteers and especially some of the young teenagers, our new building project is finally coming together. The first cabin is 90% complete, and in January we will start on four more new buildings, GODS great.. 💪🪚
