Ladies,

The Holiday hustle and bustle is in full swing!  Frankly, it just makes me smile and offer a sincere Merry Christmas to all that offer even the tiniest bit of assistance this time of year.

We all have a LOT of opportunities to Christmas Carol this year.  Have fun, be silly, and remember that we're raising funds for the FISH Christmas Basket Brigade.  Truly, look around you when you're caroling; everyone takes a moment to pay attention and all you'll see is smiles all around you.  Now that's a warm and fuzzy!  

We are going to have a great meeting on Monday the 11th at the American Legion.  Besides bringing your Food Pantry donation and gently worn bras to donate, bring a hearty appetite.  Dinner will be catered by Salty Girl Island Cafe and desserts will be provided by your 2023 Board.  

Finally, please make some time for yourselves.  It's so easy to get caught up with all the deadlines and obligations of the Holiday Season, but take some time to relax and enjoy it, too!  Treat yourself to a massage, manicure, or pedicure.  Take yourself out to lunch and bring your favorite book or magazine.  Remember that just taking an hour or two for yourself is not only good for the soul, but it also gives you a chance to recharge!

Doors open at 5 pm to start ordering beverages.

Reminder: the American Legion only accepts cash!

Food will be provided by the organization for your amazing help all year long! We are having Salty Girls Island Cafe cater for us!

Dinner Menu: Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana, Pasta,

Bruschetta Salad and Dinner Rolls.

Dessert is being provided by the Board of Directors!

Please bring any unwanted jewelry you would like to donate to the

Chic Boutique at the Island Luau.

We are also collecting coconuts for Island Luau decor, as well as basket making supplies, gift cards, and items for Island Luau baskets.

It's time to start planning your basket ideas for the Island Luau!

We need items to put in baskets, gift certificates from eateries that you frequent, and basket making supplies such as toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, crinkle paper, tissue paper, extra large basket bags, and clear scotch tape.

Please bring these items to the December, January, and February General Membership and Island Luau Committee meetings.

Pine Island Food Pantry News

The Pine Island Food Pantry is in need of the following items: dry cereal, canned soup (NO cream soup), diced tomatoes, instant mashed potatoes, elbow macaroni, penne or ziti pasta, egg noodles, dried beans, saltines, crackers, individually wrapped kids' snacks. Please bring donations to the next General Meeting or drop off at one of the following locations: Winn-Dixie, V.F.W., American Legion, Moose, Centennial Bank, the Matlacha Post Office or at the pantry when it is open on Monday and Thursdays, 9 am - 11 am.
