May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and Mother's Day which makes it the perfect month for moms to plan a mental health day!
May is one of the most beautiful months, especially in the northeast, which is why it can also be one of the busiest and most stressful months for moms.
Why? Our calendars are often overflowing with events such as birthdays, showers, weddings, graduations, baptisms, proms, school concerts, recitals, art shows, Mother's Day celebrations and Memorial Day cookouts. Are you exhausted yet?
Let's face it, in moderation, these are all joyous events, but when they start to pile up and put pressure on our normal routines, it can be overwhelming.
So here is a suggestion Mom- Plan a mental health day for yourself this month- a day with a plan or no plan, but a day that does not include ANY REQUIREMENTS! You heard me- NONE!
Enlist your family members to pick up the pieces for one day. You are so deserving! Last but, not least, take some time to laugh about all the joys of motherhood. Let me give you a head start. Click on the link below if you need a good chuckle!
