He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. ~Matthew 28:6 What a time to celebrate! As Christians, Easter is a time of joy and hope as we celebrate our Risen Savior Jesus! We can proclaim victory in His name! Thank you to everyone who has come alongside us in this journey as we speak God's Truth into the lives of this young generation! Potential Nevada Opportunity Scholarship Funding Increase! Governor Lombardo has proposed robust increases in Nevada for school choice. Under the new proposal (Nevada State Assembly Bill 400): The funding cap for the program immediately increases from $6.65 million to $24.6 million (~4,900 students annually). The cap would automatically increase every two years thereafter until reaching a final cap of 5% of state education. The family income limit would increase from 300% to 500% of the Federal Poverty Level ($150,000 for a family of four) to help middle-income families. The bill also proposes to create an Office of School Choice to provide assistance to families searching for options. Please take a moment to send your support for this legislation in the link below. | | Contending for the Recognition of Absolutes, Part One: The Treacherous Path of Relativism By B. Nathaniel Sullivan In Luke 15:11-32, Jesus shared what would become one of His best-known parables, the Parable of the Lost or Prodigal Son. Following every impulse, desire, and whim he felt, a young man demanded his father give him his inheritance early and then “set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living” (v. 13). Then, a famine hit. Destitute, the former partier was forced to take a job feeding pigs and “longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything” (v. 16). | | |
