Sorry for the delay on getting this one out the door this month. I wish I had a better excuse, but I just forgot. It's been a bit busy with the day job. However, not busy enough to get behind on my writing.
NaNoWriMo was a success once more, and Pass the Death is in first draft. It came off more as horror sequel, where the rules that I meant the villain (or in this case anti-hero) to follow were largely broken. But with having the death stone be the main character, it made it harder to keep to the rules that I had set forth in the beginning. Then again, considering this was one of those books that was based on a dream, I think I did I pretty good job of it. There were enough loose strings left behind for the next two books in this series.
With my 33rd book in first draft, I'll be in editing mode for much of December. With everything that I managed to get through these past few months, I have four books that I'll be editing. I'm already halfway through The Darkness Within, which, while it starts a bit slow, comes through like a runaway train by chapter twenty. I'll be moving on to The Final Testament on Friday, trying to get that ready for a possible May release. The month will wrap up with Prairie Queen, our January release. So, things are busy as usual, just the way I like it.
