New Artwork, plus great news!

Moving Day, 14 x 21 inches

Great news! This painting was just accepted into the Watercolor Society of North Carolina's Annual Juried Exhibition for 2021. The show will take place October 3 – November 12 and is going to be online only this year. I'll be sure to provide the link when it's available. I painted this watercolor from photos that I took when we helped some family members move to a new home. We had worked for several days to pack up their belongings and load them into two moving trucks, and finished loading up the second truck just as it was starting to sprinkle a little and the sun was getting low in the sky. About the time we got out on the open road, the sprinkles turned to a rain shower and this gorgeous sunset developed before us.

Life in Zion, 14 x 21 1/2 inches

Zion National Park is my favorite National Park so far. The place is amazingly beautiful everywhere you look, and I love the mule deer who inhabit the park—with ears so long they're almost funny and adorably scruffy fur! There's another little critter in this painting, too.  :)
