Happy Women’s History Month, Round-Up Readers! How will you be celebrating? If your hotel or company is doing something you think our readers would love to hear about, email me! OK, so let’s talk about VEGAS!! An incredible week there attending the Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) Summit––a who's who of luxury hoteliers, thought leaders, travel advisors and entrepreneurs! So grateful to Stuart Greif and Amanda Frasier for the opportunity. FTG made a conscious effort to have more than 50% female speakers and 35% traditionally underrepresented groups, and let's just say, diversity creates a VIBE! Great to meet so many "herteliers" in person! Look for my post this week of top takeaways. BIG THANKS to my awesome "Women in Leadership" panel: Erica Whitaker, director of marketing, Gifted Travel Network, Anne Golden MI FIH VP Europe, Pan Pacific, Brian McHugh, VP, Marriott International. and especially Shannon McCallum, COO, Resorts World Las Vegas, who was also an incredible host to the FTG Summit. Grateful to our super engaged audience for their great questions!! Other Vegas highlights...touring the new $3.6 billion 3,644 room Fontainebleau Las Vegas with Liz Kramsky and to meet beverage director Juyoung Kang, to learn about how she comes up with drinks for the 36 bars and restaurants in the complex!!! More to come! Went to the Sphere, which was cool, and ate at Sadelle's in the Bellagio which was DELISH! Shoutout to my college roomie, Wenchi (Chang) Axline who came up from Orange County for one night! And now, I’m in Florida! If you're a regular Round-Up reader, you know I'll be in Miami on March 5th! A few tickets remain less than 5 spots actually) so act fast if you want to join for cocktails, conversation and connections! I would love to meet you and hear YOUR story! Big thanks to our partners: Cornell Hotel Society of South Florida, Expedia Group, The Hotels Network and Women in Travel Thrive for their support. See below and sign up here!! Let's get to the news of the week! |
