WARD 6 DEMOCRATS

SPECIAL ELECTION

Special Election for Ward 6 Committeeman - Saturday, April 20

With the recent passing of our Ward 6 Committeeman, Don Dinan, per the bylaws of the DC Democrats, we will be holding a special election to choose his successor in conjunction with the DC Democrats' DNC delegate election Saturday, April 20 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The deadline to submit your candidacy occurred at 5 pm on Thursday, April 4, so additional submissions are no longer being accepted.

UPDATE: Because there was only one candidate as of the April 4 deadline to submit, the DC Democrats' approved following the Ward 6 Democrats bylaws-mandated process for filling an officer vacancy, which stipulates that the Executive Committee may vote to appoint someone to complete the unexpired term. The Executive Committee thus voted to appoint Joshua Wiley to complete Don Dinan's term at their monthly meeting on Saturday, April 13.
