Kia ora koutou e te whānau.
The excitement is building in the Year 5/6 team as they prepare for Camp Adair next week. I would like to say a huge thank you to the team for all the work that is involved in preparing for school camp. It is a big commitment and time away from their own families. Thank you to the parent helpers too. I am hoping to join the team on Thursday next week.
The Government’s ‘Emissions Reduction Plan’ (ERP) was launched on Tuesday by the Government. The ERP outlines a clear pathway to a low-emissions, climate-resilient future. Education has an important role to play within this plan. You can read more about education’s contribution to the ERP in the Education Gazette article, ‘The time is now’. This is the first in a series of articles that will spotlight the innovative ways our schools, kura, early learning centres, and tertiary education and training facilities are contributing to a more sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand.
