Hello Changemaker 👋 Vaccine rollout is continuing throughout the country with now 40% of U.S. population having at least one dose! Little by little, we are making progress towards the other side. We encourage you to do your research, do what’s right for you and respect others doing what’s right for them. Have a wonderful week! |

If my flight is canceled, is the airline required to provide me with a hotel room, cab fare, or reimbursement for any other non-airline ticket costs associated with my trip? |
|
|
With the increasing distribution of vaccines throughout the country, we hope traveling will be in the near future! 💵The answer is, no. Airlines are not required to provide passengers with money or other compensation for costs that fall outside of the canceled airline ticket and fees tied directly to the airline ticket (such as baggage fees, seat upgrades, etc.) when flights are canceled.
✈️ Always research or contact airlines to find out about their flight policies and amenities before you book your ticket as a means to get the best customer service for your money.
🏨Each airline has its own policies about what it will do for passengers whose flights have been canceled. If your flight is canceled, ask the airline staff if they will pay for meals or a hotel room. While some airlines offer these amenities to passengers, others do not provide any amenities to stranded passengers.
