News & Updates

August 2018

We are happy that we can now give Dr. Ko's supporters and subscribers a summary of the promising results from her

current preclinical study, which was conducted in

partnership with the University of Maryland!

Recently, Dr. Ko captured a photo of Angel Zhang (left) and Sandrine Soman (right) in the lobby of the 801 Building at the University of Maryland. Angel and Sandrine were the colleagues responsible for performing the hands-on work with 3BP at the University

of Maryland, School of Medicine, Departmental Oncology Radiation.

She would like to take a moment to express her sincere gratitude to all of her supporters and the collaborative partners at the University of Maryland for making this study possible.

NOW... Drum roll, please...

(Sorry, I can't resist)

As a renowned research scientist, Dr. Ko must remain

objective and scientific.

I, however, can get as excited as I want!!

Directly from Dr. Ko, here is a brief summary of the outcome:

1) No obvious cyto-toxicities were observed in the treatment groups.

2) Although Radiation Therapy (RT) alone demonstrated a positive response initially, it resulted in rapid tumor re-growth at a later time. This observation is often seen in clinical settings.

3) 3BP alone decreased the tumor burden at the dosage employed in this study suggesting it can be a stand-alone therapy.

4) When RT was combined with 3BP no tumor re-growth was observed.

5) The current study suggests that 3BP can eradicate cancer stem cells.

6) The study also suggests that 3BP can be used synergistically with radiation therapy, both at a lower dosage to minimize any potential side effects.

The outcome data and findings from this study will be submitted for journal publication in the near future. We will keep you up to date regarding this anticipated publication, as soon as we have it available.

The Future plan:

Based on the above positive outcome, continuation of additional research is essential to further develop treatment protocols designed to acquire the following parameters:

  • Radiation and 3BP dosages
  • Treatment schedules
  • Survival benefits
  • Drug resistance
  • Treatment of metastasis
  • Prevention of metastasis
  • Blood marker development to assess treatment efficacy and tumor regression or progression

Please know that Dr. Ko truly appreciates all of your support and efforts to keep her work moving forward, to our final goal of FDA approval

of 3BP for human cancer.

Also....

We've had some recent requests from supporters who want an opportunity to support Dr. Ko's research with targeted or ongoing donations through a crowdfunding option like GoFundMe.

In response, we've created a campaign that is now available where all of the funds will be in the complete control of Dr. Ko for her research needs.

Check out our new GoFundMe page

Please feel free to spread the word with your family, friends and others who may want to learn about Dr. Ko's research progress with 3BP, and her

efforts to bring 3BP through FDA Clinical Trials for human use.

Thank you all!
