They can be ordered on line via this link.

WHAT TO WEAR AND WHEN!

In recent weeks there have been announcements and communications regarding the expected attire to wear to games and the requirement to get changed out of umpiring gear once finished with umpiring duties.  Committee members have been directed to bring this up with members who are not complying.  If this is raised with you, please take this is in the spirit it is intended and that is to keep us looking tidy and professional.

We also need to bring up the matter of umpires who play for or support clubs.  If you are in a clubs rooms or grounds and supporting or barracking for your club, please do not do so in your umpiring gear. Please go get changed out of umpiring clothes and into your supporters clothes!

The committee has no issue whatsoever with any member supporting a club or their kids clubs.  We are confident that this does not affect the way any of our umpires perform their duties when officiating, but what has been raised with the committee is the perception that this can create with those that do not umpire, so we are asking you to be mindful of this.

FROM THE COMMITTEE/RUMs

  • The first round of pays has now been done.  There are a couple of issues with wrong details or no details that are being resolved, but the majority should be in your bank accounts in the next day or two
  • If you have queries regarding your pay please contact the Treasurer in the first instance as she is best placed to answer your query.
  • Committee emails will be put on the committee page on the website so they are more easily accessible.
  • Tribal Sports Apparel are doing a weekly encouragement award.  Our RUMs will be nominating our umpires that meet the criteria for this.
  • Upgrade of lights at our training venue.  We are planning to apply for a grant for this but it may be bit of a drawn out process.  We are doing our best to move it along.  This will be a joint venture with the Cricket Club.
  • As mentioned at training, we are going to implement a suggestion box.  You can put your ideas or anything you want to bring up, into the box.  It will be discussed at committee level and feed back given.

Greetings all!

Round 9 has just been and gone, Round 10 next week. Time is flying.

As mentioned at training last Thursday night, I am planning on Saturday 16th June, that we have a catch up after our days appointments at the club rooms. Nothing too formal, just a casual get together. There will be the footy on the telly and Table Tennis will be on. Food wise, we might have a look at Pizza. So we might say that if everyone attending kicks in $5 a head this should cover it. I will make sure that there is something yummy for dessert!!

As I start the planning process for our presentation night, please keep an eye out for a survey via Facebook. We as a committee are trying best to represent you, we like to gather a bit of your feedback, so that decisions are made to best ensure attendance.

If any of you have ideas for a gathering or would like to have us come around to yours after a game. Let me know and I will work with you to make that happen. Well that’s about all for now…

See you round the paddock  KO
