Michael Wren Honored by Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

On Saturday, December 9th, GALA Board Member and GALA Youth Director, Michael Wren, was canonized by the DFW Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as Saint Brother Goose, the Keeper of the Wee LGBT of the Order. The DFW Sisters are a fully professed House of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. They are a modern, communal order of 21st century nuns dedicated to community service, fundraising, outreach, advocacy, education for safer sex awareness, promoting human rights, respect for diversity and spiritual enlightenment.

Michael was honored for his ongoing work with GALA Youth where he helps ensure that LGBTQ+ youth in Collin and Denton County have a place where they are loved and celebrated for being their authentic selves unapologetically and openly.

Family Night at Durkin's Pizza

Tuesday, December 26  5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Every 4th Tuesday we gather for Family Night at Durkins.  Stop by this family friendly event to network, socialize, enjoy happy hour, listen to rock n roll, and eat some great pizza! Durkin's owner and ally extraordinarire, Michael Durkin, donates 10% of sales to GALA Youth, our group for LGBTQA youth.  Come out and bring a friend or two.  It's as easy as eating pizza!
