new class, new shows,
same old philosophy

Since 2003, I've been bringing my jewelry designs to you primarily through my website and art festivals in western New England. Now, I've got some news I thought you might be interested in:

Learn sand casting!

Through the years, many of you have asked whether I'd consider teaching my methods. Now, I'm teaming up with my good friend, veteran jeweler Robert Borter, to add my skills to the growing series of metalsmithing workshops offered at his studio. In this one Aug. 29 and 31, I'll show students how to use casting sand to create 3-D forms in sterling silver. Get the details and sign up here.

See you in Bennington

Please join me Aug. 4-6 for the Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival in Bennington, Vt.! Speaking of shows, I recently added two events to this year's schedule. I will open my studio this year as part of the Vermont Crafts Council's Fall Open Studio Weekend Oct. 14-15. Also, I was recently accepted to the Vermont Hand Crafters organization and will sell my jewelry during its Craft Vermont show Nov. 17-19 in Burlington, Vt. Get details and directions for these and all my 2017 shows.

Forging a connection with you, not just links

As more and more artists focus on chasing online sales, I recently chatted with Boston-area marketing professional and fine art photographer Cindy A. Stephens about the importance of face-to-face contact with customers. Her July article, How to Sell Wearable Art Jewelry, explains why I still hit the road during the craft show season.

If you're reading this because you've already signed up to receive my newsletter, please forward this to a friend who loves fine jewelry. If you're that friend...
