Join us for a FREE two-day training designed to prepare educators to lead local STEM initiatives and professional development opportunities. The goal of this cohort is to improve STEM outcomes for all Louisiana students. Participants will examine models of quality STEM learning environments and research-based strategies with a deep focus on mentoring classroom teachers to build content knowledge and instructional capacity. Participants will also develop action plans as part of their participation in the cohort. Action plans will provide educators with opportunities to develop innovative solutions for real-world problems in STEM education specific to their classroom, school campus, or district. This professional development is brought to you by the National Math and Science Initiative(NMSI), UL Lafayette’s Center for Excellence in Education and its Region 4 STEM Network Center(R4SNC), and the Louisiana Department of Education(LDOE). | | |
