Let our actions and deeds reflect the love and compassion that define our faith and community. May this be the merriest Christmas ever and the babe in the manger truly come alive in our hearts as Jesus Christ our redeemer!

Thanksgiving Service: Supporting Dunbar’s Boys' Choir
 

We had an incredible season from our Annual City-Wide Revival this spring to our prayerful support and partnership with our schools leading into the fall school year. We are ready to embrace the winter season!

THE ANNUAL THANKSGIVING WORSHIP SERVICE was held on Sunday, November 19, at New Hope Baptist Church, Larry L. Polk, host pastor. The guest speaker was Bishop Corby Bush, pastor of Greater

Harvest COGIC, Dallas Texas.
Musical guest including Worth It Mass Choir and the Dunbar College Prep Academy's Boys Choir.

LAIMA looks to extend a helping hand to the extraordinarily talented 7-8 grade young men as a part of an effort to support our schools and communities.

LAIMA presented a check of $500 to Mrs. Natalie Anderson, principal of Dunbar College Preparatory and choir director, Brunshea Norris, during this annual Thanksgiving Service Event.

The Electric Customer Choice Update

Pastor Fields has provided a crucial update on the upcoming changes in customers choosing their Electric Service Provider. The process has overcome major hurdles, and the open market is expected to go live on March 4th. So far, approximately 15 churches have submitted copies of their bills, but more participation is needed. Churches are currently receiving special rates, but these will not be available under the new customer choice system.

The goal is to have a minimum of 50 churches and businesses with a total usage of 100,000 kilowatts join the aggregation. A letter will be sent out with a target submission date of October 31st. We encourage pastors to share this information with their peers and business owners in our community. It's important to note that there are no fees associated with participation in the aggregation.
