Congratulations to the Northwest High School Robotics Team, "Jawas" for winning the VEX Excellence Award; the overall award presented at the regional competition held at LSU's College of Engineering. The competition included 28 middle and high school teams with 178 student participants. Members of the winning team were Davin Broce, Jason Broussard, Marlee Norse, and Nathaniel Broussard, coached by David Reed. Marlee Norser also won the Geaux Programming Award for her coding. |

Zearn Training Louisiana Department of Education, in conjunction with the Region 4 STEM Network Center held a Zearn training on the campus of UL Lafayette. The training was held at Abdalla Hall and consisted of two sessions with over 35 educator participants from 4 school districts and 3 charter schools in the region. |

2023 LaSTEM Summit Call For Presenters The LaSTEM Summit is an annual conference whose goal is to strengthen STEM education throughout Louisiana and the nation. This year's event is themed ‘Louisiana’s Future Belongs To You!’ and will bring together educators, business leaders, government officials, and others who play a role in STEM education to share ideas and resources.
