It's been a while, but here we are with another newsletter. Three sales have taken place since the last edition, and one sale was cancelled due to the Omicron variant of Covid. Although Bird Flu is still lingering in certain areas, we are hopeful that we can finally have a consistent run of sales approximately every couple of months.
If you have received this email in error or do not wish to be on our mailing list you can unsubscribe at the bottom of this email and we promise we won't bother you again.

#BeatTheQueue
We often have a queue on the morning of the sale and it can take us some time to get everyone inside. However, anyone who books in advance will bypass the main queue and get in at 10:45am, which is 15 minutes before the main doors open. Many people have already booked in this way and those of you who have done so in the past will know just how easy it makes things on the day. Your wristbands will be ready for you to collect, all you have to do is put them on. Additionally, it means that you can enter the trade area anytime from 9:30am (where Essex Bird Centre are situated) so you can stock up on your supplies and put them in your car without it eating in to your bird buying time! And you have access to the canteen for refreshments.
Yes, it's the bit you've all been waiting for; what's going to be there on the day?
Although we can never know exactly what birds will be on sale on the day we do ask breeders to provide us with a list of what they are likely to bring as a guide.
This is not a cast iron guarantee that every bird on the list will be at the sale, and it's also likely that birds which aren't on the list will be there on the day too. We'll add to this as people confirm what they are bringing.
We are proud to have Essex Bird Centre as our sale sponsors.
To be sure you get what you want you can pre-book items direct with Essex Bird Centre and they will bring them to the sale for you.

#BE @SOCIAL
There are numerous ways to keep up to date with Cambridge Bird Sale online, including a couple of recent additions:
We have a news group on WhatsApp where you can keep up with the very latest bird sale news. Please be aware that this is simply a newsfeed and not a discussion group; only Cambridge Bird Sale can post comments. Therefore you can join it safe in the knowledge that your phone won't be pinging every 5 minutes with people posting up emoticons and asking for the postcode! It'll just be us with the occasional important news item.

We have also just started a new group on BAND. Numerous bird groups are now using this social media app. It seems to be becoming a much more popular way to buy and sell birds now that Facebook is trying hard to ban the sale of livestock on its platform.
Therefore we thought we'd give it a go.
