Greetings to you this new year. I do hope that the midwinter provided some rejuvenation, and wish you health, joy, wonder, and prosperity for the coming months. I would like to thank you for continuing to read these emails of mine, and remain open to conversation with anyone for whom the themes I engage with resonate. I use social media sparingly these days, and this email will continue to be my preferred channel of communication, and the vast majority of the time will be where I reveal new work. Above The Dark Lake Ink and pastel on paper I am very pleased to be able to start 2022 with a new development. I now have a selection work of available through Talisman Fine Art, London. Tap the image below to visit my page on their website. Over time I will expand the range available there, which will be comprised of unframed works on paper. |

The gallery has been around for over 25 years, and now operates mainly online. There is a range of art available, and an interesting array of various writings, which in time I will also contribute to. I feel this is an appropriate home for my images, and although the majority of work may contrast stylistically, there is certainly a relevant context in terms of content, or perhaps a more apt way to conceive of it would be in terms of the perpetuation of a 'current.' Of particular note, something which I never dreamed could occur in any way, my work appears in the 'Pastoral & Visionary' section, in close proximity to that of Cecil Collins, one of my most favoured artists. Below; 'The Angel of Death Has Spread Its Wings Across The Land'. Tap the image to read about the creation of this piece, how Cecil Collins inspired the title I gave to it, and my take on the role of art in uniting grief, beauty, and healing. |

Ithell Colquhoun - Genius of The Fern Loved Gully by Amy Hale I am currently reading this excellent book about an artist whose work embodied many of the aspects that I find most meaningful in art. Again I'm thinking here in terms of works of art and their creators as being linked by something more subtle than style, or genre. There is much of interest for the curious, the book covering ground including Surrealism, Celticism, and the various spiritual threads that weave through Colquhoun's life and art. Available through Strange Attractor Press, tap the image. |

I am always pleased to hear from those who may have an interest in what I do, or simply to converse about the related themes.
