Winter Newsletter

February 2021

Dear Friends,

In hopes that winter is on its way out, I am sending this update to highlight some of the most recent, exciting news!

Again, we would like to take the opportunity to express our heartfelt “thank you” to all of you, for praying for our return and for being so generous in supplying our needs for our ministry! Like Paul, we can say, “we are amply supplied because of your generosity!”

We are also grateful for the way the Lord always leads our steps! After a long time of waiting to return to Romania, the Lord opened the perfect window right before many European countries closed their borders or stepped up their restrictions and policies!

We arrived without being stopped, checked or questioned by anyone en route and no quarantine upon our arrival, so we were able to pick up right where we left off, yet with renewed passion and fervor!

Because there are many people out of work in our region, we are able to make some meaningful connections, bringing hope to those in need!

All the schools in Romania remained closed since November and our Afterschool program is the only venue providing educational activities to the children and our communities! The so called “online school program” is not functioning well in the rural area due to poor internet, lack of technology in schools, lack of tablets or laptops for children, etc.

We are again thankful for all the wonderful resources, supplies and funds provided by you, our partners! This is the reason why we can meet the needs of the people during these difficult times!

Throughout the winter we were able to provide food packages, medicines, firewood and lots of hope as we ministered the love of Jesus one on one, through small groups and the rest of our services.

The pandemic does slow us down somewhat but we are grateful for every opportunity, even if it means smaller groups and more meetings!

Both containers arrived safely and we cannot wait for spring, when we can start using our equipment for some amazing projects, like digging water wells for the communities!

Our building in Ostrov is completed so around Christmas we were able to start meetings on Saturday afternoons. Our joy is multiplied every time the Holy Spirit convicts someone and draws them to Himself. This is, of course our ultimate goal, to see lives transformed for eternity.

Important request for Pastors and Missions Directors:

Our friend, Todd Broski, grandson of Karie and Marge Schaffer is our new MA who is itinerating to raise his support so he can join us in our work in Romania. Would you please pray for him and if at all possible, offer him the support needed to come soon? As you know, we have been asking the Lord for new workers and he is an answer to our prayers! Thank you!

Join us as we pray for the following needs:

  1. Our MA’s, who are still waiting on God’s timing for their coming to join us. Pray for God to meet every one of their needs as they prepare to enter their calling to win souls for God’s kingdom!
  2. The purchase of adjacent plot of land in order to provide homes for orphaned and abandoned children.
  3. New disciples to grow in faith and wisdom, developing a desire for ministry.
  4. New converts to fearlessly face the religious leaders and family pressures with courage and conviction.

Thank you for praying for us and with us for these needs!

We definitely feel your continued prayers!

Our love and our gratitude goes out before the Lord for each of you!

“Pressing on towards the goal for the prize of heavenly calling… So let’s keep focused on the goal, those of us who want everything God has for us!”

Phil.3:14-16

The prize we are after is none other than many souls saved!

In His service, with all our love and gratitude!
