It's Be a Kid Again Day!

We all have some child like wonder inside of us. Find ways to channel that today!

Happy Friday Friends!!!

Happy Newsletter Friday! Welcome to those of you who are reading this for the first time and welcome back to those returning! Let's kick it off with the anticipated poll results!

THE POLL RESULTS:

Beach season is in full swing which means the beach activities are here! Go to the beach and play in the surf, bathe in the sun, read a book, or build a sand castle. The possibilities are endless because your creativity can be endless (it is "be a kid again day" after all)! With all the activities that can be done at the beach, what is the top?!

Since there are so many activities, it appears like it was hard to pick one to be the top of the top. It looks like this week we have another tie yet again! The tie is between "Sittin' and readin' a book" AND "Swimming in the ocean!" If I had to pick to break the tie it would be swimming in the ocean! That being said, go to the beach this weekend (or pool or grassy area) and do one of your favorite activities!

IN THE HEADLINES:

Are you tired of all the constant headlines popping up on your phones? Does the news sometimes ruin the day? Here is a place where you can find uplifting, fun, and good news from people in our own community. Keep looking to your own life headlines for a smile!

Featured Headlines:

  • "I had my last day of my shitty job!"
    • Hannah - NY

  • "I no longer live in South Dakota:)!"
    • Erin - NY

  • "I had a great day at the beach with some friends!"
    • Alex - NY

Hannah! Brooklyn sounds like so much fun! I hope you love your new place! Erin, POTUS was so funny! I am glad you got to see it! Finally, the summer solstice was lovely even though it was a lil' rainy and cloudy here!

Our news might be small but, it was good news! Want to be featured "In the Headlines"? Share your breaking news here to have the chance to be in the next newsletter!

OTHER NEWS:

Don't forget a few things: Food is Fuel. Water is important. Sleep is good for you. There are so many fun things going on this summer that we might forgo one of these three things. These things do not get in the way of fun, they help properly fuel it. If we don't take care of ourselves and what we really need we will have a harder week. It is okay to step back and check in with your physical and mental health. By taking care of ourselves we can show up for others and also ourselves.

Sunsets are one of my favorite summer activities. Sunsets are a place for reflection, connection, and relaxation. I feel like I can center myself when I watch a sunset. We all have something that centers us and it is good for the mind and soul. This week try to find time to do something like that for yourself.

Thank you for reading this and if this brought a smile to your day, feel free to forward it on and spread the cheer! Don't forget the impact a little kindness can have. It can create lots of change!

'Til next time,
